We are proud to announce the third annual Manhattan Beach Fall Classic, benefitting the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation (MBEF). It's a different kind of charity golf tournament (the kind you're going to want to play every year).

Held at the venerable Virginia Country Club, the tournament is a day of world-class golf, craft beer, good food and camaraderie with local leaders.

The Fall Classic is produced by Moon Tide Media, the owners of Southbay Magazine. 100% of proceeds benefit our local kids and schools.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

8:30 am Check in; tee-gifts, warm up, continental breakfast, putting contest.
10:00 am Chip-off (for putting contest winners)
10:45 am Live Clinic with a Tour Professional on Hole #1
11:15 am Shotgun Start
  • Better Ball Format. Each player will play their own ball, all the way through.
  • Craft Beer Tasting Stations throughout the Course
11:30 to 2:30 pm Hot lunch on the course.
4:00pm until Beers, Cocktails, Cigars, Hot Food Stations
4:30 pm The SHOOT OUT
  • Test your skill against your team mates and the field from the tee box of the Par 3 10th hole.
  • Up to $10,000 in cash prizes and a chance to win a new Maserati.
6:30pm Presentation of The Boondoggle Cup.
7:00 pm until Beers, Cocktails, Cigars, Monday Night Football.

MB Fall Classic 2017

Founded in 1909, Virginia Country Club is among the most exclusive and historic private golf clubs in the nation. Designed by the legendary A.W. Tillinghast and William P. Bell, the golf course is a true gem. It's a shotmaker's track with small greens, artful bunkering, interesting terrain and that special timeless feel that is typical of the "Golden Age of Design" in which it was built. VCC is home to 415 equity members and 10 tour pros.

The Fall Classic benefits the Manhattan Beach Education foundation and 100% of the net proceeds generated by the tournament go to supporting our local kids and schools.

The MBEF is a community-driven fund raising organization which supplements state funding for programs that inspire learning, enrich teaching and promote innovation and academic excellence in the public schools of Manhattan Beach.
